Get Connected
Church of the Cascades began as a dream to plant a church that led people on a journey of developing close relationships with God and others. God wired us to live in relationship. Tom Hanks character in Castaway talks to a volleyball named Wilson on a deserted island because of his need to have conversation. We are no different. God didnt make us to live life alone.
Life is life, sometimes good, sometimes bad, but most of the time somewhere in between. Getting through this life is much easier and more enjoyable when you have people to share it with. Church should be a safe experience where we follow Christ as we do life together.
In order to build a community of people that journey through life together we have a different structure than most churches. We have found it to be refreshing and helpful in the formation of a community of people who spend time together loving God and one another.
So how can we meet? The first step is to come to one of our meetings.
House Church (Small Size)
Church of the Cascades is, in reality, a collection of home churches. We've felt for a long time that the vibrancy of church life is directly tied to your relationships with people. The church is a connected body of people, not just in name but in reality. We've tried hard to let our actions demonstrate how we feel by structuring a church where the house church (small size) takes precedence.
The house church is where you can get to know people, get questions answered, grow spiritually, serve alongside others, share meals, and express your faith (or learn for the first time about faith) face-to-face in real time with actual people.
